Cancellation and Refund Policy

  1. Short Term Rentals

    • Rentals can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance of the starting date of your reservation for a 100% refund.

    • After that time, short term rentals cannot be cancelled or refunded for any reason.

    • Steger Beach Service is not responsible for inclement weather conditions, and refunds will not be given for short term rentals that have their reservation disrupted by rain, wind or storm conditions.

  2. Seasonal Rentals

    • Seasonal rentals can be cancelled at any time before the beginning of the yearly season, the Saturday before Memorial Day of each year, for a 100% refund.

    • After the beginning of the season any cancellations will only be refunded in the form of credit towards rentals in the following year.

    • Steger Beach Services is not responsible for any possible closure of the beaches that we service.

    • In the event of such a closure, seasonal customers will be given a credit for the pro-rated value of the reservation time lost. This credit can be applied to a rental in the following year.

    • Beaches may be closed by local or state government, severe inclement weather conditions, or other causes.

    • Steger Beach Service is not responsible for inclement weather conditions, and refunds or credits will not be given for any seasonal rentals due to rain, wind or storm conditions.

Beach Box Rental Terms and Conditions

  1. Beach Box reservations are first come – first served.

  2. Existing customers will be placed on a mailing list and will receive renewal reminders, we do not hold reservations for existing customers.

  3. Customers must provide their own locks.

  4. For Seasonal box rentals, your name will be stenciled on a red plate where you will be able to identify your box. For weekly box rentals, your name will be stenciled on a yellow plate at the end of the box row.

  5. For seasonal customers, every item in your beach box or cabana must be removed by the end of the season, the last Sunday of September.

  6. For weekly beach boxes, boxes must be vacated by 4:30 Friday evening on the last week of your rental period. If boxes are not emptied in time your lock will be cut and items will be placed at the nearest concession stand.

  7. Steger Beach Service is not responsible for the following occurrences:

    • Equipment stored in a locked beach box after the end of the season, the end of the season.

    • Theft of items inside a beach box as a result of the box not being locked properly, broken into, or vandalized.

    • Equipment inside a beach box that is lost or damaged due to high tides, hurricanes, and rain.

    • Vandalism of a beach box or cabana. Also please note; any reported damages will be repaired or replaced as soon as possible.

In the event of an impending storm scenario; if you have concern about security of contents of your box please remove items to ensure their safety. Also please be aware that services in the months of May through early August may experience seasonal weather changes. Peak hurricane season occurs during late August and early September. Other weather related occurrences such as tidal flooding and beach erosion may also alter beachfront availability and affect services offered.
